Several years ago I have a dream case from Acer which I wasn’t able to buy because of its availability and it is only sold as set, with a relatively high price tag of course and that is their desktop gaming pc with a Predator gaming case you can see on the left side. What I like the most with this Acer gaming system case is its robotic look as it is really futuristic like the transformers and for me this is way too awesome!!
Today it seems like the company is reviving their predator gaming line-up by announcing several devices such as Acer Predator Smartphone with Mediatek processor, Acer Predator Tablet with Intel Atom processor, instead of using Qualcomm’s newest processor and now an ultra-gaming monitor called Acer XB271HU Gaming Monitor priced at $799, and $899 for the 4K-ready with a very fast refresh rates of 165Hz, meaning it can compete with BenQ and ASUS gaming monitor if we will talk about its aesthetics and specifications. Well if you think it can break your bank, and you prefer playing hard core games with laptop or notebook, then you can just check this list of gaming laptops under 500.
To go down deeper with the specs, the Acer Predator XB271HU is a 27-inch IPS monitor with 2560 X 1440 WQHD resolution with 4ms response time, a default refresh rate of 144Hz which can be boost up to 165Hz using G-Sync technology. If I’m not mistaken G-Sync is a technology introduced by Nvidia that is said to deliver the smoothest gaming experience.
In today’s generation it is not enough that you have a powerful gaming card or graphics card but you also need a high-end gaming monitor if you want to maximize the power of your video card. So my personal advice for those who have already a decent graphics card, instead of investing on gaming peripherals such as keyboard, mouse, or headset, you must target a real gaming monitor first and I’m sure you will never regret following my advice.
Other specs of this Acer Predator gaming monitor series include 100% RGB color gamut coverage, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, Zero-frame design, with a cool looking red and black theme stand that is capable of being tilt, swivel, rotate, and adjust its height.
Lastly, the company have also introduced a different variant, model XB271HK, which is essentially identical but with a 4K Ultra HD IPS panel with only 60 Hz with a Display Port 1.2 for you to maximize its resolution.
The Acer XB271HU gaming monitor will be .
